Project Coordinator - Christina Y. Hardy, MPH
Christina Y. Hardy serves a Social/Clinical Research Specialist within UNC’s Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. For CCARES she serves as the Project Coordinator, responsible for coordinating all data collection efforts and assisting with the scientific integrity throughout the project. She received her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Health Education with honors from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and her Master’s Degree in Public Health from the same institution. She has also been a Certified Health Education Specialist since 2002. Mrs. Hardy has experience working in the field of social science and prevention as a program facilitator, facilitator trainer, research project manager, and activities developer. Previously, she managed project intervention and evaluation tasks on various projects, including An Impact Evaluation of a School-Based Violence Prevention Program (US Department of Education), Crossroads: Cooperative High School Drug Prevention (NIDA), Drug Prevention in Elementary Schools, All Stars, Jr. (NIDA). She has conducted trainings in North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Colorado, and Texas. Mrs. Hardy understands the burden that breast cancer can have through experiences with her own family, and is encouraged about the positive actions communities and researchers are taking to address this chronic illness.
