Cynthia Pinnix

Cynthia Pinnix presently works as the Coordinator of O.R. Central Sterile Processing at Wesley Long Community Hospital in Greensboro. She has been with the Moses Cone Health System for 26 years. In that span of time, she had to become knowledgeable about policies and procedures for infection control as specified by CDC, EPA, OSHA, JACHO and other hospital regulatory systems and in turn train staff regarding these policies. She attended Alamance Community College and Guilford Tech Community College nursing programs. She received training as a Small Business Entrepreneur at Guilford Tech Community College. She received national certification as a CSPDT (Central Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician). Ms. Pinnix has also completed Undoing Racism™ Training from The People’s Institute. Her community work includes membership in the Woodbriar Community Association, for which she was responsible for starting the first newsletter to the community and in the Concerned Citizens of Northeast Greensboro (CCNEG), for which she worked on a taskforce facilitated by the Institute for Cultural Affairs until its completion.
