Lynn Wells
Lynn Wells has a B.S. in Nutrition Management, selected graduate level work in Clinical Nutrition and is a Certified Registered Dietitian. Lynn is a native of Greensboro where she resides with her husband. She has been employed at Moses Cone Health System for over 18 years, where she has worked in the Nutritional Services Department as Manager, Clinical Dietitian, Training/Development Manager and has held her current position of Director of Volunteer Services and Communications for over 5 years. Lynn’s responsibilities range from managing over 700 volunteers and 65 employees to interacting with teens, college students and adults (ranging in age from 21 to 85). Lynn has several interests, but perhaps her greatest is as a community advocate for several community boards and interest groups. Lynn currently is an active Board member for The Salvation Army, Welfare Reform Liaison Project Community Action Agency and HealthServe Community Health Clinic. Lynn is a graduate of Leadership Greensboro (2001) and Other Voices (2005). Both programs are sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and are intense 9 month diversity training programs. Leadership Greensboro opened her eyes to race relations in her community and other areas of diversity. Lynn is a member of Westover Church in Greensboro - a nondenominational church of over 5000 members. In her spare time, she serves as a Big Sister to an African American female through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. She has volunteered in that capacity for more than 7 years with the same child.
