Nora Jones

Nora Jones is a retired Guilford County secondary school teacher. She earned an undergraduate degree in French from Virginia State University and an M.A. degree in secondary education from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Since entering retirement, she has become a member of the Guilford County Enrichment Board and The Partnership Project. She also tutors in reading and math at a local elementary school, and is a member of the Auxiliary to the National Medical Association, Auxiliary to the Old North State Medical Society, and Auxiliary to the Greensboro Medical Society. Some of her past affiliations include: the Greensboro Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., the American Association of Teachers of French, the Black Child Adoption Taskforce, Guilford County Association of Educators, and Girl Scouts of America. Mrs. Jones is an active member of Providence Baptist Church, where she serves as the chairperson of the Library Committee. She is especially interested in health issues, volunteer work, advocacy for children, and travel. She resides in Greensboro, NC and is married to Dr. Percy E. Jones.
