Veita Bland
Veita Bland received her undergraduate degree at Bennett College and attended medical school at Temple University. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at The University of Maryland. Dr. Bland is a practicing physician and CEO of the Bland Clinic in Greensboro and has served in those capacities since 1982. She is Board certified in Family Medicine and is a Clinical Hypertension Specialist. Since 1995 she has been a clinical preceptor for the Brody School of Medicine in Greenville and for Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was a clinical preceptor to the North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill from 1986-2004. She is a member of the following organizations: AMA, National Medical Association, Old North State Medical Society, North Carolina Medical Society, Greensboro Medical Society, ASH, ABC, ISHIP, Greater Greensboro Medical Society, P&T Committee Moses Cone Hospital and ASH Carolinas and Georgia Chapter. She is also active in the community with her involvement as a member of the NAACP, The Partnership Project and The Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She was formerly a member of the Hospice Advisory Board, the Trico Board and Guilford County Board of Health. Dr. Bland is also a frequent columnist and radio guest and is a speaker consultant for Novartis, Pfizer, Kos, Bristol-Meyers Squibb Sanofi and Sankyo.
